People’s Movement to Stop Haze (PM.Haze)

About the Organisation

PM.Haze is the only non-profit organisation in Singapore dedicated to preventing transboundary haze pollution across Southeast Asia. It raises awareness of the root causes of transboundary haze and the practical actions that individuals can take to address the issue. Its advocacy programme promotes the responsible consumption of sustainable (haze-free) palm oil products and the protection of fragile tropical peatland ecosystems.

The organisation works closely with communities in Indonesia and Malaysia to protect and restore degraded tropical peatlands. Its peatland restoration programme combines community development with a scientific, people-centred approach to restoring community-managed peatlands.

PM.Haze is deeply rooted in the Singapore community, engaging students from tertiary and non-tertiary educational institutions through opportunities to develop practical skills in advocacy and peatland restoration. The organisation welcomes volunteers from all backgrounds and areas of expertise to help co-create a haze-free future for all.
